Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge Review

Social Hour (Happy Hour) at Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge is a real treat. They actually shut down their regular lunch/dinner menu and serve only their social hour menu. But that’s not a bad thing because their social hour menu has happy hour prices. They have an outside patio on the sidewalk with rustic style tables. Who doesn’t want to sit outside in the sunny San Diego weather? We ordered the Truffle Parmesan Fries, Bavarian Pretzel and Nuts Olives & Cheese plate. All of these were $2.00 off for social hour. Truffle Fries come sprinkled with Parmigiano-Reggiano and two dipping sauces, an Aioli and a Pomegranate Ketchup (which is excellent). The fries are crispy, the parmesan shined through more than the truffle oil. The Bavarian Pretzel was good but a little on a the dry side (probably just an off-day) comes with a whole grain mustard which is kind of nutty and mild. We also ordered the Nuts, Olives & Cheese plate. Includes both black and green olives, cheese of the day, toasted almonds and some crispy slices of crostini bread. All of the dishes were $4 during happy hour (social hour). Also to mention the Alesmith Lil Devil draft is worthy of mention. Great balance, citrus and honey come through.

Leroy’s Social Hour: 3-6pm + 10-Midnight Daily

Drink Specials: $4 Craft Drafts. $2 Off Craft Cocktails. $5 Glasses of select Wines. $5 Well Drinks. $2 Off select Bites
